DAVAO CITY – Elements of the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) raided the houses of Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, his daughter Vice Mayor Nova Princess Echavez and several other family members in Ozamiz City early morning Sunday.
According to reports, Vice Mayor Nova Parojinog Echaves along with several other individuls, after a raid in San Roque Lawis that resulted to the confiscation of firearms and shabu, and death of 4 BPATs/ CVOs (Miguel del Victoria, Nestor Cabalan, Daniel D. Vasquez, and one other unidentified BPAT).
Mayor Reynaldo "Aldong" O. Parojinog and his wife first lady Susan Parojinog have died as a result of the raid in his house in the early hours of July 30, 2017 in San Roque Lawis. Board member Octavio Parojinog Jr., Lydia and JR of Lumad TV, also died.
The vice mayor is currently being transported to the provincial office of the CIDG.
The homes of Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog and his son "Dodo" was also raided. Confiscated in the Mayor's house were M79 riffles, bundled cash and shabu. 5 individuals are confirmed dead inside Mayor Aldong's house. Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog died from gunshot wounds together with first lady Susan Parojinog.
All civilians are warned not to flock on the raided areas to avoid hampering the investigation.
More areas, like The Farm of the Mayor's Family in Barangay Cogon, will be raided today, July 30, 2017.
President Rodrigo Duterte has tagged the Parijinogs as among the narcopoliticians operating in Mindanao.
