BREAKING:Vice Mayor Nova Parojinog arrested, houses of Ozamiz City officials raided

(UPDATED) Local reports said Mayor Reynaldo “Aldong” O. Parojinog and his wife first lady Susan Parojinog have died as a result of the raid in his house in the early hours of July 30, 2017 in San Roque Lawis.


Members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) raided the homes of known illegal drug personalities in Ozamiz on July 30, 2017.
According to the report from a local source, the authorities arrested Ozamiz Vice Mayor Nova Parojinog Echaves, the rumored partner of Bilibid drug lord Herbert Colangco after a bloody raid in San Roque Lawis that resulted to the death of four members of Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams.
Casualties were identified as Miguel del Victoria, Nestor Cabalan, Daniel D. Vasquez, and one other unidentified BPAT.
The authorities confiscated firearms and shabu in the place where the Vice Mayor was arrested.
She is currently being transported to the provincial office of the CIDG for investigation.
Former Board Member and current City Councilor Ardot Parojinog’s House in Bagakay was also raided by the authorities.
The team of PNP and CIDG confiscated 1 Shotgun, 3 Rocket Propelled Grenade Launchers, 2 Hand grenades, 8 M79 bullets and an M79 riffle, shabu paraphernalia aluminum foils, sealers, lighter, and metamphetamine crystals. Councilor Parojinog was not found by the authorities in his house.
The homes of Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. and his son “Dodo” was also raided by the authorities and confiscated M79 rifles.
The authorities confiscated M79 riffles, bundled cash and shabu from the Mayor’s house.
PNP and CIDG warned the civilians to avoid going near the raided areas to avoid hampering the investigation.
According to the reports, more areas will be raided today.


Actor Richard Parojinog, relative of the raided politicians also asked for prayers and reminded the citizens of Brgy. San Roque to stay alert.
Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. and his daughter Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog were included in the drug list announced by President Rodrigo Duterte in public last year.
The Parojinogs denied their links in illegal drug and they said that they also fought drug trade in their city.
The President also warned the Parojinogs to give up their arms and contraband even the Ozamiz officials already turned over several guns to the authorities.
“The PNP (Philippine National Police) chief (Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa) and the President do not believe the guns they turned over were all that they have,” Misamis Occidental provincial police director Senior Supt. Edgar Daniel explained.
Mayor Parojinog admitted the relationship of her daughter and the Bilibid Prison drug lord Herbert “Ampang” Colangco, but he said that he disapproved it.
As of writing, there are total of 12 casualties confirmed during the raid.
