MANILA - Heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon and tropical storm caused flooding
along a busy street in Manila Thursday, making it impassable to all vehicles.
The city's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council told ABS-CBN News that the flood was
caused by rains and high tide.
Floods have also been reported in other parts of Metro Manila, based on MMDA monitoring. State weather bureau PAGASA earlier said Gorio, last spotted 615 km east of Tuguegarao City, continues
to enhance the southwest monsoon (habagat).
PAGASA also warned of possible floods in the Ilocos, Central Luzon, Cordillera, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol and Western Visayas regions.
“Always remember, choose what you are taking risks, In this case, Drivers should know and be mindful all the time in what is a dangerous way to drive in, especially when they have passengers carrying in their public vehicles."
Stay safe to everyone!
