According to a report by Bombo Radyo, Karen’s mother instructed the young girl to go to a lending company in order to pay a loan on the very same Monday that her body was found.

Barangay Captain Isabelita Relato says that she remembers seeing the young girl pass by her house while she went off to do her chores. Reportedly, the two spotted each other once again at the lending company but the victim left before the Brgy Captain.

That would be the very last time anyone would see her alive.

A search would be conducted on the very same day. They discovered traces of blood a few meters away from her house, which led them to a nearby pit. That’s where they found the victim’s remains.

The victim’s family believes that the little girl was s*xually assaulted before she was killed, based on the state in which her body was discovered.
