An obviously dismayed Facebook blogger Noel Landero Sarifa can’t even wait for the senate hearing regarding ABS-CBN’s franchise to finish and share his strong opinion about the said hearing.
In the Facebook post, Sarifa believed that Grace Poe called the senate hearing to fight for ABS-CBN’s continued operation even after its franchise lapses on March 30, 2020. Poe did not call this hearing to check if the network is worthy of getting a new franchise. “Gusto lang talaga ni Grace Poe na ipaglaban na tuloy tuloy sa pag-ere ng ABS-CBN, she did this senate hearing not to check if ABS-CBN is worthy of renewal of franchise or not.”
Sarifa noted the highlight of Poe’s presentation – push for an extension and disregard the strict adherence to the law. “Here presentation wanted to push for an extension of ABS-CBN’s airing not on strict implementation of the law.”
Sarifa was unimpressed of the headline of the senate hearing, “Pagdinig ng Senado Kaugnay Umano’y mga Paglabag ng ABS-CBN sa Prangkisa Nito.” He called it total BS and Poe was setting a bad example for other network that it’s okay even if their franchise expired, it’s business as usual. “Base on the headline ‘Pagdinig ng Senado Kaugnay Umano’y mga Paglabag ng ABS-CBN sa Prangkisa Nito.’ No, this is total bullshit, watching the hearing, she is just giving example of other network that are able to operate even after franchise expired. Talking about the network, not on the network’s possible violations. Asking if Senate can provide grant of extension. Crystal clear that these hearing favors ABS-CBN not the constitution.”
Sarifa ended the post with a thought-provoking question to netizens. “Is Grace Poe even fit for a fair trial if her mother is working in ABS-CBN?”
Sarifa played grinch and tried waking up Drilon from his morning siesta “ehemmm.. Drilon Gising!”
