In a Facebook post titled “JOB FAIR”, radio host Mark Lopez exclaimed “Eh di lumabas din ang totoo..” in reaction to the official statement of ABS-CBN regarding their worker’s headcount.
“So 2,661 lang ang REGULAR EMPLOYEES NG ABS CBEnd,” Lopez wrote in a triumphant tone.
Lopez remarked that only this much people have direct involvement with the Kapamilya Network. “Tapos, 5,918 lang yung may direct involvement sa kanila, whether as employee, talent or or project-based.”
Lopez sounded annoyed that despite admitting they only have these number of people connected with them, ABS-CBN still insist that 11K+ people will be affected of a network shut down. He joked that perhaps, the Kapamilya included 3rd party service providers like janitorial and security including the employees of Starbucks and EJLCC Bldg in the compound of Mother Ignacia. “Pero, sige pa rin sa 11,071. Sinama pala pati mga 3rd party service providers like janitorial and security. Malamang sinama na dito ung mga empleyado ng Starbucks sa EJLCC Bldg sa compound nila sa Mother Ignacia.”
Lopez concluded that it is clear to him now who were abused and mistreated. “So dito klaro kung ilan ang abused and mistreated.”
Lopez then posed a thought-provoking question, “Pero ang tanong, kung masara man ang ABS CBN eh mawawalan ba ng trabaho itong mga ito?”
Lopez answered his own question, saying maybe temporarily. But for sure, he was confident that a new management will take over. “Maybe temporarily. Pero may papalit naman jan.”
In the event, a new management takes over ABS-CBN, Lopez want the government to split the franchise. “And kung ako nga gobyerno, baka dapat i-split ko pa yang franchise. Dapat may iba pa.”
That is why he is very sure these workers that ABS-CBN used as props to get win public sympathy will never go unemployed for a long period of time. “Kaya hindi talaga mawawalan ng trabaho yang mga yan.”
Lopez admitted though that those who got their jobs in ABS-CBN using parking lot tactic, whatever that means, as their claim to fame or tenure are in danger. “Of course ang tagilid jan yung mga wala naman talaga skill o talent, at dinaan lang sa parking lot ang claim to fame at tenure.”
Lopez then turned to Karen for confirmation of his statement above.
