Retired broadcaster Jay Sonza, ABS-CBN’s biggest thorn on social media, is at again!
This time, Sonza alleged that there are only less than 3,000 workers employed by the Kapamilya network. “iyong 11k employees, naging less than 3k workers lang pala.”
Sonza also mentioned that the 1M signatures promised by the network showing support for the their franchise renewal request are only less tan 200K. “iyong 1M signatures in support of abs-cbn less than 200k lang talaga.”
Sonza called this “argumentum ad hominem.”
Sonza role played like he was speaking as one of Big Bosses of ABS-CBN making an appeal to the government to give them a new franchise. “Kawawa po kaming mga sinungaling, huwag po ninyo kaming ipasara. Hindi po kami magbabago, pramis po. peksman. #ouchduterte parin kami.”
In light of Sonza’s allegation, netizens have adverse reactions towards the network.
This netizen said Kapamilya is indeed a liar. “Sinungaling tlga ang abs cbn…dina tlga mgbabago yan….puro kasinungalingan alam….ipasara na yan…”
Another netizen explained how ABS-CBN did it. “Salesmen taktiks ginamit nila… Kung baga promo signatures tawag pero ang salesman Lang ang pumerma lahat gagawa ng pangalan galing sa sementeryo”
This netizen commented that the claims of ABS-CBN was Leni Robredo inspired. “Based on Leni mathematics

Meanwhile, one netizen claimed he received an email related to the 1M signature campaign of ABS-CBN. Another netizen said a signature campaign at a UP event occurred in exchange for freebies. “Nareceive ko email in support sa 1M signature campaign for abs cb end”. “Na ngalap din sila ng signature sa nakaraang U.P.fair ang pipirma may freebies… “
In another FB page, a screenshot of the post of a certain Renewel Rodaje Basa has been making the rounds online.
According to Basa’s post, ABS-CBN’s isn’t really honest about the real number of its employees. Basa found out that ABS-CBN has only 2,586 employees based on its 2019 General Information Sheet.
The FB page “For the common good of the Filipino People” minces no words in castigating ABS-CBN for misleading the public.
“Abay tila sobrang panlilinlang ni ABS-CBN sa taong bayan. Mukhang yong nilalaman ng budhi ay kulay DILAW!
May 11K na empleyado nga ba?
Ayon sa nakasaad sa kanilang General Information Sheet ay mayroon lamang silang 2586 na empleyado.”
