First was the vague preview, and then the clearer sketches followed. Now, Kia has finally revealed the first official photos of the 2020 Kia Sorento.
If you’ve beeing scouring the web for more images of this midsize crossover in the past week or so, you might have found some spy shots of the production car on various sites. But now, what you’re looking at are actual images of the next-generation Sorento—and suffice it to say it doesn’t disappoint.
The aggressive tiger-nose grille is there as promised, and the front fascia is as sleek as the teasers have suggested, with those new tiger-eye headlights complementing the grille. The rear styling is also quite sporty, featuring new-look vertically oriented taillights that fit the design well. The wheels aren’t as large as the initial sketches suggested, but that’s to be expected.
The inside is very sophisticated, with a plethora of leather and soft-touch materials all around. The brown-and-black color scheme and the sleek dash design—check out those funky-looking A/C vents—add to the premium vibe.
Front and center in the cabin is a 10.25-inch infotainment system, while the driver gets a 12.3-inch high-res digital instrument cluster. Kia says that the tech available in the all-new Sorento makes it the “most high-tech vehicle” the Korean carmaker has ever built.
No details on the powertrain yet as of this writing—we might have to wait for the vehicle’s official launch at the upcoming 2020 Geneva International Motor Show for that. So, what’s your take on the vehicle’s looks? Do you like what Kia has revealed so far?
