Uh-oh! After shamelessly admitting in the Karen Davila interview that her family have business relationships with ABS-CBN, thus validating the allegation of conflict of interest for not inhibiting herself from the senate hearing on ABS-CBN’s franchise, a radio anchor is mulling suit versus Poe.
Radio anchor Ado Paglinawan wrote on Facebook that “GRACE POE COULD BE EXPELLED BY THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON ETHICS HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE FACT THAT TITO SOTTO HAS A HEART OF A LEMON.”
Paglinawan mentioned the FB post of lawyer Trixie Cruz-Angeles wherein she cited provisions in the Constitution and the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act as basis for criminal suit vs the Senator.
“Trixie Cruz-Angeles, a lawyer and a very active blogger, claims Poe’s conflict of interest in the ABS-CBN issue is a clear violation of the Constitution’s Article VI, Section 14, part of which states that, ‘No senator or member of the House of Representatives shall be directly or indirectly interested financially in any contract with, or in any franchise or special privilege granted by the government.”
“Cruz-Angeles claims that Poe could be held criminally liable under the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, whose Section 3(h) lists as a corrupt practice a government official having direct or indirect ‘financial or pecuniary interest in any business, contract or transaction in connection with which he intervenes or takes part in his official capacity.'”
Paglinawan believed with conviction that the senate hearing on ABS-CBN franchise Poe called and chaired was intervention in behalf of the company which she admitted in the Karen Davila interview as having a business relationships with her family. “Poe certainly intervened in the process for a company seeking a franchise law. She called for a hearing of a committee she chaired that was a shameless propaganda shill for ABS-CBN.”
Paglinawan offered himself as the face of the case against Poe (re Atty. Trixie’s FB post). “IF ANY OF YOU CANNOT FILE THE CASE UNDER YOUR NAME, THEN I AM WILLING TO SERVE AS THE FACE OF THIS SUIT.”
Paglinawan announced he is meeting with lawyers to revive the 2015 suit vs Poe. “Further on my end, I am meeting my lawyers to revive the quo warranto suit we had in 2015 questioning her natural born citizenship, ipso facto, her disqualification from the Senate.”
