2020 Maxus T60 pickup truck launched in PH, starts under P1-M

Well, this is a breath of fresh air—a new pickup to consider that isn’t from a Japanese or American car manufacturer. This is the newly launched Maxus T60—the brand’s third model in the Philippines—and it has its sights set on taking on the likes of the Toyota Hilux, the Ford Ranger, the Mitsubishi Strada, and the Nissan Navara.

Does it have what it takes? Price-wise, the T60 is a pretty intriguing proposition. Its price starts and P998,000 and climbs up to P1,378,000 for the top-of-the-line 4x4 Elite variant. Check out the official prices below:

2020 Maxus T60

  2. Maxus T60 4x2 Pro AT – P1,078,000
  3. Maxus T60 4x4 Elite AT – P1,328,000

All T60 units come equipped with a 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine capable of  148hp at 3,400rpm and 360Nm of torque between 1,600rpm and 2,800rpm. This is mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The listed wading depth is at 800mm—on par with other offerings—and the truck rides on a double-wishbone/leaf-spring suspension.

The feature list for the T60 is also relatively impressive. All units come standard with an Apple CarPlay-capable seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with MirrorLink, a rear camera with sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and rear A/C vents. Top-spec Elite units kick this up further with enhancements like LED headlights, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, push-to-start ignition, and an automatic A/C system.

Available colors for the T60 are Agate Red, Lava Gray, and Blanc White for the T60 4x2 Pro, and Olive Green and Aurora Silver for the T60 4x4 Elite. Obsidian Black is available for all variants.

Maxus Philippines is also offering the T60 with a five-year (or 100,000km) warranty, with a periodic maintenance schedule set for the first 5,000km and every 15,000km (or once a year). The brand is also offering 24/7 roadside assistance and a pick-up and delivery service for buyers.

“Just like the previous models we rolled out during our brand debut, the T60 pickup, which comes in the 4x2 Pro and the 4x4 Elite variants, have been engineered and designed to offer its owners and passengers maximum experience with maximum returns,” Automobile Central Enterprise president Felipe Estrella said during the launch of the truck.

“Whether you’re an agripreneur, a contractor, an architect, or a business owner that requires a vehicle that will allow you to take charge of what truly matters in life, we will show that sa Maxus T60, kayang-kayang i-max it out,” he added.
