“Here lies the Master of Deception, defiant to its last breath crying Right of Expression” — Irate netizen writes epitaph for ABS-CBN’s shutdown

In a Facebook post titled “THE MASTER OF DECEPTION”, pro-Duterte socmed blogger Jun Abines called the Kapamilya Network one of the most powerful “brain-washing machine” in the country.

Abines opened by claiming he already k!lled the habit of watching TV for more than a decade because it robbed him of many things. “I have long abandoned watching TV for more than a decade. It robbed me of my time, happiness and sanity. “

Abines realized then than TV “is the single most potent “brain-washing machine” ever invented by man. It manipulates opinion, habit and point of view. Who controls the TV, controls public opinion.”

Abines said that in the Philippines, ABS-CBN is the perfect example and cited the reason why he believed so. “In the Philippines, ABS-CBN is one of the most powerful “brain-washing machine” that took the Filipino to a long, pointless joy ride. They entertained the Filipino people with senseless entertainment while the nation is being plundered mercilessly.”

Abines lamented that after three decades ABS-CBN operated Channel 2, the Filipinos woke one day that all the most basic needs of Filipino existence are already in the hands of private individuals, no longer controlled and owned by the government. “34 years after ABS-CBN operated the Channel 2 station, the Filipino woke up and realize all of the most basic and vital needs of Filipino existence are no longer owned and controlled by the Government. Water, power, telephone, internet, hiways, banks, airlines and government owned oil companies were all sold to private sectors.”

Abines compared what happened to the country to a family totally engrossed watching their favorite TV show. After the show, they realized that their house was ransacked by thieves, all their belongings were gone. “We are like a whole family watching a favorite tv show. After the episode, we realized our whole house was ransacked by thieves and all our appliances and belongings are gone!”

Abines did not waste a minute to cite ABS-CBN as the perfect illustration of his story of a family victimized by thieves. “This is the very case of ABS-CBN. We thought they were “In service of the Filipino People” but they fooled us big time. This TV station made us believe that PNoy was one of the best president we ever had. They made us believe that our country is “doing well”. They made us believe that we have “honest and hard working” politicians working for us.”

Abines called Duterte the gatecrasher for spoiling the fun of ABS-CBN who was anticipating a Poe or Roxas presidency whom he called puppets of the Kapamilya Network. That made ABS-CBN furious. “When Duterte gate crashed the election party in 2016. ABS-CBN was furious. This uninvited ‘probinsiyano’ must be put to where he belongs. They have it all well planned. The next President will either be Roxas or Poe. Both are their puppets. Dismantling Binay was a walk in the park. Miriam Defensor was dying. This election is in the bag!”

Abines recalled ABS-CBN pulling out all the dirty tricks against Duterte and destroy him no what. “ABS-CBN pulled all of its best tricks of deception to destroy Duterte. He must be destroyed at all cost!”

Abines said he could imagine if there was no social media then, Duterte would have lost and the plundering of the country would have continued unabated. “Imagine if there was no social media. President Rodrigo Duterte would have not won. And the plundering of our country would have continued.”

It must have been immensely satisfying for Abines to watch in the sidelines that the most powerful TV network has been reduced to begging for sympathy and support while their empire is about to crumble down in the event they failed to get a new franchise. “Now that ABS-CBN’s franchise is about to expire, they begged for sympathy. They cried for the death of freedom of expression. They begged for their employees welfare whom they bullied and disrespected since they started business.”

Abines remarked that has been dishonest all along and their slogan, “In the Service of Filipino people” is nothing but empty words. “ABS-CBN did not promote Right of Expression from the very start. Nor they were “in the service of the Filipino People” as the claim. What they did was OUTRIGHT DECEPTION! And in the service of their master’s interest.”

Abines ended the FB post by suggesting an epitaph for ABS-CBNs’ demise in Philippine free tv for remaining defiant even in their last breath.

“As ABS-CBN gasps for the very last breath, they remain defiant. They themselves already believed in their own lies. In their tomb, it should say:

‘Here lies the Master of Deception, defiant to its last breath crying Right of Expression'”
