The Isuzu D-Max Boondock is now available as a 4x4

Early last year, Isuzu Philippines piqued the interest of pickup lovers by introducing the D-Max’s Boondock variant.

The D-Max Boondock, with 265/70 Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires, 18-inch black alloy wheels, 247mm of ground clearance, performance shock absorbers, and various aesthetic alterations to go along with the company’s capable 3.0-liter 4JT1 turbodiesel (177hp at 3,600rpm and 380Nm of torque between 1,800-2,800rpm) was an interesting proposition—save for the fact it was only available in 4x2 form.

Thankfully, the Japanese manufacturer has finally followed up on that initial release with the introduction of the D-Max Boondock’s 4x4 version. It boasts the same niceties and engine as the 4x2 unit and is also available with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Other features include an automatic A/C system, reverse cameras, and a push-button start ignition. The Isuzu D-Max Boondock 4x4 is available in the following colors: Cosmic Black, Red Spinel, Titanium Silver,  and Silky Pearl White. Alternatively, you can also check out the Boondock in MU-X form here.

Here are the prices of the 2020 Isuzu D-Max Boondock 4x4:

  2. Isuzu D-Max Boondock 3.0 4x4 AT – P1,795,000

Will Isuzu’s decision to finally equip the D-Max Boondock with a 4x4 drivetrain convince you to consider the tougher-looking workhorse? Or would you rather hold out for the all-new D-Max which may be right around the corner? Let us know in the comments.
