Feisty lawyer scolds ABS-CBN news anchor Ces Drilon – ‘Dami mong satsat, nonsense naman!’

In another installment of the FB article series with the title ‘Ubos na Katol’, Atty. Nick Nañgit slammed ABS-CBN news anchor Ces Drilon for insinuating that the 70 lawmakers are Malacanang’s lapdog.

Atty. Nick opened by taking a swipe at Ces Drilon saying that someone who has been sued by a colleague has finally spoken.

‘Nagsalita na rin ang isa sa kinasuhan diumano ng kanyang kasamhan sa trabaho.’

Atty. Nick clarified from Ces Drilon whether it was the public or the Kapamilyas who needs to open one’s eyes to the truth?

‘Ang taumbayan ba o kayong mga Katola ang dapat mamulat na sa katotohanan?’

Atty. Nick clarified from Ces Drilon how she arrived with the conclusion that 70 lawmakers are Malacanang’s lapdog simply because the request of Kapamilya network for a franchise was denied? Don’t the lawmakers have a mind of their own? He compared Ces Drilon’s insinuation to the act of spitting on the constituents of the lawmakers who voted and trusted them with the position.

‘Alam mo Ces, paano mo nasabing sunud-sunuran ang 70 mambabatas sa Malacañan? Just because hindi ibinigay ang hinihiling na prangkisa ng Ubos na Katol e sunud-sunuran na? Wala ba silang mga sariling isip? Parang niyuyurakan mo rin ang mga constituents nila na bumoto at nagtiwala sa kanila!’

Atty. Nick also mentioned that simply because the President said something about it does not mean that’s it. He reminded Ces Drilon that there such a thing as separation of powers. The expression of someone who has been the victim of fraud does not mean that the other branches of government will act on it, like Congress.

‘Just because rin lumabas sa bibig ng Pangulo e yun na yun?! May separation of powers. Nasa Saligang Batas yan. Ang expression ng sentiment ng isang niloko ay hindi ibig sabihin gagawin ng ibang sangay ng pamahalaan, gaya ng Kongreso.’

Atty. Nick threw in a couple of questions to Ces Drilon to establish who is the liar between Congress and ABS-CBN.

‘Sinong sinungaling ngayon? Ang Kongreso o ang nagpapakita ng pekeng titulo? Ang BIR na naglabas ng dokumentong nagpapatunay kung ilan lang ang regular na empleyado o ang nagpupumilit na 11k daw? Ang SEC na pinayagan lang ang issuance ng PDRs for IPO purposes o ang nagdidiin na pinayagan daw sa lahat ng anggulo ang PDRs?’

Atty. Nick ended the FB post with an emphatic remark.

‘Dami mong satsat, nonsense naman! ’
