Manila Bulletin writer and Leyte native Krizette Chu is on the warpath against the wokes!
The Leyte native and Duterte supporter was obviously infuriated that the wokes would crucify and mock President Duterte if he say something stupid when he speaks to ordinary Filipinos.
A case in point was when Pduts (President Duterte) said something obviously stupid, like disinfect your mask with gasoline, the Dilawans and the wokes are up in arms, because as Krizette said, they think and assume Filipinos are that stupid to believe that you needs to set to fire to your mask with gasoline.
‘Pag si Pduts magsabi ng mga obvious na kabobohan, like disinfect your mask with gasoline (or in Bisaya Waray, “Ada kay suriti ito”), nanggalaiti sila, because they think and assume actual Filipinos are that stupid to believe that you need to set fire to your mask with gasoline.’
Ms. Krizette commented that these dilawans and wokes are simply great pretenders – they act like they are concerned with the uneducated Filipinos who will get fooled by Duterte. She said that wherever you go in the province, even if uneducated Filipinos aren’t book smart, most rural Filipinos are street-smart, “wais” in Filipino lingo.
‘Kunyari concerned sila sa uneducated Filipinos na maloloko ni Duterte. Excuse me, kahit anong probinsya ka pumunta, kahit hindi book smart ang uneducated Filipino, most rural Filipinos are street-smart, “wais.”’
Ms. Krizette swore that none of these rural Filipinos would use gasoline to disinfect their masks because they know what Duterte meant. She promised to accompany them in the remotest areas in the Philippines.
‘Wala ni isa mag gasolina ng mask nila kasi alam nila meaning ni Duterte. Kahit samahan ko pa kayo sa pinaka huron na lugar. Pakainsulto, badaw.’
Ms. Krizette joked that with God’s grace, Duterte’s remark became an instant international headlines. And also in Newsweek. She chided the wokes for looking down on rural Filipinos and on one hand having superiority issues to think that the poor cannot tell whether Duterte was joking or not.
‘Ayan, awa ng Diyos, international headlines agad. Naka Newsweek pa. Kumbaga, “paka tamay” nalang ninyo sa amo. You really have superiority issues to think that the poor cannot discern jokes.’
To drive home her point, Ms. Krizette used the family driver and a few illiterate people that surrounded her while growing as an example. From the tone of her voice, Ms. Krizette beamed with pride to call them the smartest people she know. They cannot be conned, not the type of people who will believe that 4×4 = 1600.
‘Yung Lolo kong driver si Lolo Amboy, hanggang Grade 2 Lang yon, yun nagturo sa akin magbasa and was one of the smartest men I know. I was surrounded by a few illiterate people growing up, still the smartest people I know. Hindi nyo yon maloloko, hindi sila maniniwala na 4 x 4 is 1600.’
Ms. Krizette even swore that any tambay living in the rural areas can out debate Richard Heydarian.
‘Any tambay or farmer there living their lives can out debate Richard Heydarian, promise.‘
Ms. Krizette complained that the wokes treated Leni with kid gloves. For example, when Leni said something not so intelligent statements and super serious, they don’t react like when it was Duterte making his poker-faced jokes.
‘Pero pag si Mama Leni magsabi ng hindi masyadong matalino na statements tapos super seryoso si Mama Leni, as in hindi talaga sya ang jojoke, di sila nanggagalaiti.’
‘Acheche.’
Ms. Krizette clarified she was not defending Duterte because he does not need it. She realized how culturally diverse we are as country. There’s the DDS who shares Duterte’s thinking, and then there’s Leni’s followers who… never mind.
PS: We are not defending Duterte. He’s beyond pettiness. Tsaka Di nya kailangan. We’re just thinking how very culturally different we really are in this country. There’s the rest of us who share Rodrigo Duterte’s thinking, and then there’s Leni’s followers who share her… intellectual capacity.
