Lawyer to “unhappy” Regine Velasquez Alcasid: ‘Dinala mo sarili mo sa palasyo, diba?! Pero, anyare??? Nabuwag.’

Judging by the tone of the Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez Alcasid’s social media post, the Kapamilya talent is unhappy with the turn of events of her career.

This is not surprising after Congress junked ABS-CBN’s request for a franchise.

The singer-actress confessed on Twitter that as things drag on, she started to get discouraged. She did not know if she will still have a job like her fellow Kapamilya. The songbird said that what is more depressing is when there are people gloating over their misery, when these people should have been defending their rights. Ms. Regine wished that all these was just a dream. She ended with crying emojis.

While Asia’s songbird’s tweet elicited sympathy from her legion of Kapamilya fans, many are also unsympathetic to the plight of the singer-actress and her fellow Kapamilyas.

Speaking of unsympathetic netizens, the FB post of a certain netizen named Nick Nañgit, in my opinion, best articulates the sentiment of the anti-Regine Velasquez Alcasid forces in socmed.

In a Facebook post titled, ‘Ubos na Katol’, Nañgit opened by teasing songbird that it was her who brought herself to the palace (Kapamilya network)?

If you are not familiar with Regine Velasquez Alcasid’s songs, Nañgit was referring to her hit song ‘Dadalhin’ wherein it talks about a girl being promised by a suitor of taking her to his palace but in the end, their relationship did not have HAPPY ending.

‘Dinala mo sarili mo sa palasyo, diba?!’

Nañgit asked the songbird what happened? ABS-CBN was brought down or shut down, reminiscent of the song ‘Dadalhin’. As a result, Nañgit remarked that the songbird’s will is now wavering.

‘Pero, anyare??? Nabuwag. Nanghihina ngayon ang kalooban mo.’

Nañgit said that the songbird is an excellent singer, very popular and made a fortune of her albums and movies. If she loses her job, Nañgit figured she won’t go hungry. Just looking at her house of glass, for sure she will continue to live in comfort.

Unfortunately, online entertainment is the thing these days. Nañgit said that the songbird is not the only victim of the pandemic. Many artists and performers have lost their jobs.

Nañgit asked the songbird who are the people she mentioned, supposedly to defend their rights? What rights?

Karapatan saan?’

Nañgit remarked that no employee in private companies is safe if the company shuts down. There is an end to the right to work, if that is what the songbird is talking about.

However, if she was talking about the right of the Kapamilya network to broadcast, he advised the songbird to reflect. A franchise is not a right but a privilege. He urged the songbird to read this over and over again like she was studying, perhaps she’ll get it.

Nañgit continued that if some people are getting pleasure out of it, it’s none of her business. Same thing how she mistreated people at the height of her stardom.

‘Bilog ang mundo,’ Nañgit said to end the FB post.
