Mavs owner Mark Cuban says he traded players for smoking too much weed

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban revealed that he traded players for smoking too much marijuana.

The NBA no longer penalizes players for smoking marijuana.

In an interview with Patrick Beverly on the Pat Bev Pod, Cuban said that he is not against marijuana use. However, he is worried about the potency and frequency of the marijuana that his players are taking.

“No lie, I’ve traded guys because they smoke too much,” Cuban told Beverley.

“Everybody smokes, right? It’s not about that,” he added. “You got one dude that’s… you walk down the hall in the hotel and you know he’s on that floor, and there’s no doubt about it.”

According to Cuban, he traded players who smoke too much weed as he worried that their habits may spread to younger players. (MJD)
