Report: Tom Vodanovich to make PBA comeback as Converge import

Tom Vodanovich is reportedly returning as an import for the Converge FiberXers in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup in October.

New Zealand news agency Newshub.nz revealed that Vodanovich’s NBL team, the New Zealand Breakers, released him.

The report also said that the 28-year-old forward would take his talents to the PBA.

Meanwhile, Converge management has yet to confirm the report.

Vodanovich played one playoff game for the FiberXers in the Governor’s Cup last season to replace prolific reinforcement Jamaal Franklin. Vodanovich scored 39 points and 10 rebounds, but the FiberXers lost to San Miguel, which ended their season.

After his first game with Converge, coach Aldin Ayo said that the coaching staff was planning to make Vodanovich their resident import. (MJD)
