James Harden still hopes to play for LA Clippers

Veteran shooting guard James Harden remains hopeful of a trade that will land him with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to a report.

“That’s even more so than the ongoing dynamic in Philadelphia, where James Harden still hopes to be moved to the LA Clippers, sources said,” Yahoo! Sports NBA reporter Jake Fischer wrote.

Harden has made it clear that he wants to leave the Philadelphia 76ers after saying that team executive Daryl Morey is a liar.

Sam Amick of The Athletic also reported in August that Harden has no plans on showing up in Philadelphia’s training camp.

Harden has played two seasons with the 76ers. Despite forming a formidable tandem with Joel Embiid, they failed to make it past the second round of the playoffs during his two seasons with Philadelphia.

The 34-year-old former MVP averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 10.7 assists last season. His point average was his lowest output over the past 14 seasons. (MJD)
