Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno sees RSG Philippines as the biggest obstacle to ECHO Philippines’ goal of defending their MPL Philippines title.
On Saturday, ECHO swept AP Bren Esports to finish the first round of the regular season with a 7-0 record.
After winning the IESF World Esports Championship 2023 title, AP Bren entered MPL Season 12 as a potential threat to ECHO’s title defense bid. However, the Orcas dominated AP Bren in the series, leading to a 2-0 win.
For KarlTzy, AP Bren is not their toughest opponent this season, but RSG PH.
“Siguro po, para sa ‘kin po RSG po,” KarlTzy answered when asked about the biggest threat to ECHO’s dominating run. “‘Yung playstyle po kasi namin halos similar lang sa kanila, kaya mahirap po silang basahin.”
During their first regular season encounter last week, ECHO fought back from a 0-1 series deficit to frustrate RSG PH.
ECHO remains the only team that has yet to lose a series in the tournament. (MJD)
