Marck Espejo played limited minutes as the Incheon Korean Air Jumbos faltered to the KEPCO Vixtorm, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22, 23-25, and 15-13, in the 2023-24 V-League Men’s Division on New Year’s Day at the Incheon Gyeyang Gymnasium.
The former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles star managed just eight points after being inserted for just two sets as the Air Jumbos suffered their second consecutive defeat with an 11-9 record.
Thijs Ter Horst led the way for Vixtorm with 27 points, Seongjin Lim added 14 markers, and Jaedeok Seo and Youngseok Shin contributed 13 and 12 points, respectively, as they improved to a 10-10 record.
Lim Dong-hyuk top-scored for the Air Jumbos with 18 points; Pakistani import Murad and Jaeyoung Cho added 12 markers each; and Hanyoung Jeong contributed 10 markers.
Espejo and the Air Jumbos will look to bounce back against the Woori Card squad on January 5 at the Incheon Gyeyang Gymnasium.
