A ray of hope has shone into Isaiah Thomas’ NBA aspirations, as NBA insider Shams Charania reported that the former All-Star is planning to sign with the Phoenix Suns.
“IT is back: 11-year vet and two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas is planning to sign a 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium,” Charania posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Thomas recently signed with G-League team Salt Lake City Stars. The former Boston Celtics guard averaged 33 points in his four games with the Stars.
The pint-sized guard last saw action in the NBA during the 2021–2022 season. He has career averages of 17.7 points, 4.8 assists, and 2.4 rebounds.
Meanwhile, former Boston players Kevin Garnett and Kendrick Perkins congratulated Thomas regarding the Suns’ offer.
