Terrafirma confident of playoff chances with Standhardinger, Pringle

The Terrafirma Dyip is confident in their playoff chances for the upcoming PBA season following their recent acquisition of Christian Standhardinger and Stanley Pringle from the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings.
According to Dyip head coach Johnedel Cardel, having Standhardinger and Pringle play alongside veterans Juan Miguel Tiongson, Andreas Cahilig, and Kemark Cariño will enable them to keep pace with other teams.

“Imagine si Stanley as our leader, together with Juami. Dalawa sila sa backcourt. And with Standhardinger, he’s the second-best big man sa PBA after June Mar Fajardo. So may go-to-guy na ako sa ilalim,” Cardel said.

“’Yun pa rin ang goal natin next season, makabalik ulit sa quarterfinals. And kung suwertihin, maka-semis naman with the experience nila Stanley and Standhardinger,” he added.

The Dyip reached the quarterfinals round of the 2024 PBA Philippine Cup as the eighth-seed, but they lost to the San Miguel Beermen in a do-or-die game.

Standhardinger and Pringle arrived at the Dyip on Saturday via a blockbuster trade that saw Stephen Holt and George Isaac Go move to the Gin Kings. Both teams also swapped their first-round picks for the PBA Rookie Draft this afternoon.

“I have nothing but good wishes for Stephen and Isaac. Mababait ang mga ‘yun. And I am happy that they made their own name habang nasa Terrafirma sila,” Cardel said.
