Creamline’s Bernadeth Pons chooses PVL title over MVP honors

Creamline Cool Smashers star Bernadeth Pons values winning the PVL Reinforced Conference championship over the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

The former Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws standout stated that the MVP title is the least of her priorities as she focuses on securing the championship for the Cool Smashers.

Pons became a favorite to win the PVL Reinforced Conference MVP, with frontrunner Brooke Van Sickle now ineligible after the Petro Gazz Angels failed to reach the semifinals round.

The Talisay City, Negros Occidental native has emerged as the Cool Smashers’ top local performer in the absence of veterans Alyssa Valdez, Diana Carlos, and Jessica Galanza.

The Cool Smashers will try to move closer to the championship as they face the Cignal HD Spikers in a knockout semifinal match on Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
