The F2 Logistics-La Salle Lady Spikers will compete in the Taichung Bank Formosa Women’s Volleyball Club Invitational Tournament in Taiwan starting today, with Angel Canino leading the squad.
The former UAAP Rookie of the Year-MVP will aim to guide the Lady Spikers to their second pre-season title, following their victory in the Kadayawan pocket tournament in Davao City last month.
Joining Canino in the Ramil de Jesus-coached team are Amie Provido, Franchesca Rodriguez, Lyka de Leon, Shevana Laput, Jessa Ordiales, Raine Gonzales, Mary Raterta, Julyana Tolentino, Baby Soreno, Mikole Reyes, Katrina del Castillo, Vida Caringal, and Michaela Santos.
The Lady Spikers will first face the King Whale Women’s Volleyball Team tonight, followed by a match against the Daejon Jung Kwan Jang Red Spikers on September 11.
DLSU, which finished third in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament, is aiming for a strong comeback in Season 87, set to begin early next year.
