Zamboanga rival Stamp shows slow, steady improvement from injury

Reigning ONE atomweight champion Stamp Fairtex has opened up about the long road to recovery from her knee injury.
The Thai fighter was forced to withdraw from her scheduled title defense against Filipino rival Denice Zamboanga at ONE 167 in June after tearing her meniscus during training camp.

Five months later, Stamp reports that she is progressing well and is now preparing to take her training to the next level as she continues her recovery.

“My long and steady recovery process [is going well]. Now my knee moves nearly normally working on my squat variations. I definitely feel more comfortable pushing hard,” Stamp said.

“The only way to achieve the impossible is to believe it is possible,” she added.

As Stamp continues her recovery, the atomweight division will crown an interim champion.

Zamboanga and Alyona Rassohyna are set to face off at ONE Fight Night 27 in January 2025, with the winner earning the first opportunity to challenge Stamp once she returns to action.
