TNT Tropang Giga center John Paul Erram credits his faith in God for helping him rise above criticism from Barangay Ginebra fans during the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
Erram, often targeted with “iyakin” chants, said his belief shielded him from negativity throughout the series.
“When you trust in Him, nothing is impossible,” he said post-game. “My faith is in the Lord alone. No matter what people say, I know He is with me.”
The former Ateneo Blue Eagle also expressed gratitude to his teammates, coaches, and TNT management for standing by him despite his emotional outbursts earlier in the Finals.
“They accepted me through thick and thin,” Erram said. “I am blessed to have them and our coaches.”
Erram had heated exchanges with TNT coach Chot Reyes during the Finals and clashed with Glenn Khobuntin in their semifinal series against Rain or Shine.
