Man taken into custody after being accused of robbery, sexual battery

LaGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — The LaGrange Police Department announced on Thursday that a man was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges, including robbery by force and sexual battery.

According to LaGrange PD, 24-year-old Antravian Allen, was taken into custody on Thursday at approximately 3:30 p.m. by members of the Criminal Investigations Division and the Special Investigations Unit on Lindsey Street for several active felony warrants.

Allen is being accused following an incident that happened on 150 Turner Street, 1408 Juniper Street, 127 Commerce Avenue, and the 200 block of West Meadow Way Drive, which occurred from Aug. 10 to Aug. 26.

LPD says Allen was wanted for two counts of burglary, rape, robbery by force, robbery by intimidation, aggravated assault, aggravated sodomy, and sexual battery.

He also had an active arrest warrant for felony violation of probation and was transported to the Troup County Jail by officers from LPD.

The incident remains an active investigation as LaGrange PD urges anyone with additional information to contact Detectives Blane, Randazzo, or Horseman at 706-883-2620.
