Tenorio begins first practice as Magnolia head coach

The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots ushered in a new era on Monday as Lewis Alfred “LA” Tenorio led his first training session as head coach.

Photos from the team’s Instagram stories showed Tenorio overseeing drills at the San Miguel Corporation gym in Pasig City, marking his official start on the sidelines.

Working alongside him are holdover assistants Paul Sorongon and Itoy Esguerra, while Jason Webb has been elevated to team governor.

Tenorio succeeded Chito Victolero, who steered the Hotshots to a championship and multiple playoff runs over his nine-year tenure.

The 41-year-old Tenorio transitions into full-time coaching after a distinguished 18-year PBA career, the last 13 seasons of which were spent with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel—serving as playing assistant coach in his final two years.
