2025 Labor Day Fair in Russell County

SEALE, Al. (WRBL) – The first Monday of September is the annual Labor Day federal holiday, and hundreds of people are flocking to Seale, Alabama to celebrate. It was a crowded scene at the Old Russell County Count House. Food trucks, local and regional vendors, a live band and classic cars all lined up around the courthouse. The Russell County Labor Day Festival started at 10:00 AM Eastern Time and will wrap up at 4 PM Eastern.

Chance Corbett, the Russell County Commission Chairman, says this festival has been a staple in the community since the 1970's. During a time when many families are looking to stretch their budget, this event is a great way to get out of the house without breaking the bank.

"This is an opportunity to go to something that's free. There's free admission and free parking. They get to come down here and listen to music for free. If they want to buy something they can. You know it's great food trucks and great local and regional vendors out here. It's a great inexpensive way; you don't have to go out of town to enjoy Labor Day. You just come down to Seale, Alabama in Russell County and enjoy it," said Corbett.

Corbett was excited with the turnout this year. Next year they'll have to look for a bigger venue for the festival because so many vendors wanted to be part of the Labor Day Festival.
