COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- Happy Thursday! We are tracking a few stray showers and storms this afternoon across the area.
The NWS has introduced a drought to parts of the viewing area. Many of these showers will not bring the substantial rain needed to help with the deficit.

Friday: There will be another small chance for rain tomorrow. A few pop-up showers will be possible in the afternoon. Temperatures will rise into the mid-90s.
Weekend: High pressure will remain the driving force this weekend. We are not adding rain chance for Saturday, but that could change tomorrow. Readings will sit in the lower 90s.

Next Week: The first day of Fall arrives Monday, but our temperatures will not be cooperating. We will still see 90s all the way through next week. Stray showers will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
