Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts standout Brianna Nikola Ang has confirmed her commitment to join the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles for college.
In an interview with Abante Sports Now, Ang stated that playing for the Blue Eagles is a fulfillment of a long-time dream.
“Yes po,” Ang said when asked if the rumors of her playing for Ateneo for college is confirmed. “It’s really my dream to go to school there and to build a future there po.”
Ang expressed her excitement about the opportunity, emphasizing how the move would impact not just her athletic journey but her personal growth as well.
“I’m very excited po to be given this opportunity to join them. Not only can this help me through sports but this can also help me outside sports po,” she noted.
Ang joins the growing list of Thunderbolts standouts who moved to Ateneo aside from Katherine Shaine Cortez, Jihan Chuatico, Alex Montoro, Dona Mae de Leon, and Ana Hermosura.
Ang’s arrival is expected to bolster the Blue Eagles’ campaign in the UAAP Season 89 as the program continues to rebuild and develop young talent under head coach Sergio Veloso. (AC)
