COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — There was a heavy police presence at a busy Columbus intersection Monday night.
At least seven Columbus police vehicles converged on the intersection of Wynnton Road, Brown Avenue, and Peacock Avenue. Officers were investigating an accident between a pickup truck and a sedan.
According to the Columbus Police Department, there were injuries. However, there is no word on the number of occupants in the vehicles or the extent of injuries at this time.
The entire intersection was blocked off with crime scene tape. Traffic was rerouted while officers investigated.
