OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL) — A man who is accused of a shooting that left two people injured has turned himself in to authorities.
Initially, the Opelika Police Department was asking for the public's help in locating Zyreon James, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for first-degree assault.

The charge came from an altercation that happened on Aug. 30, when officers responded to the scene around 11:54 p.m. in the 3500 block of Dale Avenue for reports of an assault with injuries.
When police arrived, they found a 16-year-old juvenile and a 20-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center for treatment, while the juvenile was eventually transferred to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta for further treatment.
Since the incident, both individuals have been treated and released.
Investigators say the shooting happened during an altercation involving multiple people, and officers later identified James as the person who shot the 16-year-old.
