Opelika police search for 2 women accused of stealing merchandise in TJ Maxx

OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL) — The Opelika Police Department says officers are searching for two women, who are accused of stealing merchandise out of TJ Maxx.

According to OPD, on July 17, detectives began investigating a third-degree theft of property case that occurred on July 2 at the TJ Maxx on Maxx, located at 2185 Tiger Town Parkway.

The two female suspects entered the store around 7:19 p.m., and proceeded to hide approximately $196 in merchandise before leaving the store without paying.

The first suspect was described by officers to be wearing a light blue Stitch cartoon t-shirt, blue jeans, and blue Crocs, while the second suspect was seen wearing a shirt, blue jeans, and blue Crocs. The other female can be seen wearing a blue t-shirt, gray sweat pants, and flip flops.
