COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) -- Good Friday morning! We're off to another lovely start today, with temperatures running a bit warmer than the past couple of mornings. Most spots are waking up in the 60s—comfortable and pleasant out there.
As we move through the morning, expect a gradual warm-up. Temperatures will climb into the low 80s by midday, with afternoon highs topping out in the upper 80s. A few spots may even touch 90 again, just like yesterday. This is right on par with what we typically see for mid-September.
Tonight looks clear and comfortable, with lows dipping into the low to mid 60s.
Looking ahead to the weekend, not much change! A dry cold front slips in late tonight, but it won't do much to shake up the pattern. Expect sunshine and warm afternoons with highs near 90 both Saturday and Sunday.
As we head into next week, the quiet stretch continues. A strong high-pressure system parked over the Mid-Atlantic keeps us dry and steady, with temperatures holding close to seasonal norms. No big changes in sight!
