COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A 2020 Columbus gang and murder trial moved into its eighth day Thursday morning.
Marquise Hawkins and Kendaryl Rogers are facing life in prison without parole if convicted in the August 2020 shooting death of Alex Bales-Davis.
The trial started last Monday, and it took more than two days to seat a jury. Testimony began a week ago.

The state was still presenting its case Thursday morning.
Former Columbus police officer Timothy Darden testified about how a vehicle suspected in the murder was tracked.
He was under cross-examination from Rogers' attorney, William Kendrick on Thursday.
Kendrick: You got information from the auto company that sold … the car. Right?
Darden: I spoke to them.
Kendrick: They informed you that they had the ability to tell you exactly where that car was because of their pinging, correct?
Darden: No. Not exactly.
Kendrick: How did you get the car?
Darden: They pinged it.
Kendrick: All right, they pinged it.
The shooting happened Aug. 6, 2020, at Brennan Road and St. Mary's Road.
The trial continued Thursday afternoon before Superior Court Judge Tippi Burch.
