MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WRBL) —The family of Jordan Lashelle Fitzpatrick of Tuskegee says her remains have been found, more than two years after she was first reported missing when she was 15-years-old.
Fitzpatrick was last seen around March 22, 2023, and her family reported her missing to the Macon County Sheriff's Office. Investigators issued multiple public appeals for information, saying the teen could have been in the Auburn area.

According to her family on Thursday, September 25, 2025, forensic scientists in Montgomery identified remains as belonging to Jordan. The circumstances of when and where those remains were recovered have not yet been released. Authorities also have not said how long the remains had been in state custody prior to identification.
WRBL has reached out to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to get additional details regarding the identification process and whether a cause of death has been determined. We are also working to learn which agency is taking the lead in investigating Jordan's death. Macon County Sheriff André Brunson says he too is searching for answers.
Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.
