The PBA has approved a one-for-one trade sending guard Evan Nelle to NLEX Road Warriors in exchange for Sidney Onwubere to Phoenix Fuel Masters.
The transaction, which was approved on Monday, marks the first roster move made by NLEX since Jimmy Alapag took over as head coach last week.
The 28-year-old Nelle is suiting up for his third PBA team. He was selected 14th overall by NorthPort Batang Pier in the second round of the 2024 draft before being shipped to the Fuel Masters.
Before joining the PBA, Nelle built an impressive collegiate career by winning championships with San Beda in the NCAA and De La Salle University in the UAAP.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old Onwubere heads to Phoenix for the next chapter of his career. The former eighth overall pick in the 2017 PBA Draft will now play for his sixth franchise in nine seasons after previous stints with TNT, Rain or Shine, NorthPort, Barangay Ginebra, and NLEX.
