The hailed 'mother of all drug lords' ridiculed Duterte on what he might say at the Batasan Complex.
"Ano naman kaya ang pwede niyang ipagmamalaki sa SONA? Mga patayan? Mga kasinungalingan?" De Lima shamelessly commented.
She gave her remarks on the sidelines of the court hearing regarding the 'disobedience to summons' case on Quezon City. The QC court reset the trial for her disobedience to summons after there were technical irregularities were found on the judicial affidavit submitted to the court by Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali.
De Lima discredit Duterte and called his first year as all lies. "Isang taong mga kasinungalingan. Isang taong panggigipit, isang taong pagmumura, pambabastos," she said during her appearance at the Muntinlupa City court over drug-related allegations.
"Isang taon mga pangakong napako lalo na 'yung kasinungalingan, fake cases, lalo na itong mga paratang sa 'kin; fake cases, fake news," she added.
De Lima claimed to be a victim of political persecution and that the President is aiming to pin her down to get back her for her initiative to investigate the alleged Davao Death Squad (DDS).
She also criticized the President's war on drugs, stating despite the blood spill, the country is still the same.
The trial was moved in August by Judge Ludmila de Pio Lim of QC Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 34. De Lima filed a motion for reconsideration to dismissed Umali's affidavit and remove him as a witness for the prosecution.
Now that Umali is no longer a witness, both the defense and prosecution counsels have presented arguments over the irregularities of the copies of the House justice committee chair’s affidavit.
While the Umali's camp insisted that the court should not have accepted the testimony for it violates the rules on judicial affidavit, the defense may jhave submitted two different affidavits.
But prosecution lawyer Albert Angelo Villalon insisted that the affidavits have similar substance and pointed out that "typographical errors" were the only ones corrected.
De Lima is accused of persuading her former driver-bodyguard-lover Ronnie Dayan to ignore the House inquire about his involvement in the drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison.
Prosecution was given 10 days by the court to file its comment on the motion.
She currently detained at the Philippine National Police custodial center in Camp Crame for 5 months, charged with drug-related cases issued by Judge Juanita Guerrero of Muntinlupa RTC Branch 204.
Delegates of the EU lawmakers visited De Lima in her detention cell to see if she is being treated fairly.
The European Parliament adopted a resolutions last March 16 that urges the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's administration to end the so-called extrajudicial killings in the drug war but rather prioritize a fight against drug trafficking networks and drug lords instead of tracking down small time drug dealers.
They also called for the 'mother of all drug lords' to be release, claiming that all evidences against her were fabricated.
