Ex-PNoy positive that he will be able to elude justice about his involvement in Mamasapano Massacre

Recently, Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales ordered the filing of charges against former Philippine President Noynoy Aquino and two ex-officials of the Philippine National Police for the Mamasapano massacre two years ago.

In his recent statements, Aquino said that he is prepared to face worst charges waiting for him and just have to hope for the best.

"Well gano’n naman parati ang attitude ko ‘no? Walang mawawala sayo if you will prepare for the worst and hope for the best. So kausap natin ang mga abogado natin, binalikan ko lahat ng aking data with regards to Mamasapano and all the other cases tapos ‘yung ini-imagine mo na rin," he said.

The former commander-in-chief is still positive that he'll be able to elude justice.

"Nung tumakbo kasi ako, isa sa mga inambisyon natin no’n, electoral plans is ‘yung judicial reform. So ngayon marami tayong mga kaso na nakikita na ‘di natin maintindihan bakit gano’n ang resulta. Sabi ko sa mga kapatid ko nung pinuntahan nila ‘ko nung Biyernes, sabi ko sa kanila ang panig ng katotohanan nasa atin. Pero never naman nangyayari ngayon sa sistema ng ating hudikatura," he claimed.

He also claimed that the justice system of the country is questionable. He said that they weren't asked their side of the story, they were ignored, he said.

"Parang power of the Ombudsman and ‘yung mga fiscal, meron ding ganong authority na mag-name ng kaso. Anong problema no’n? Ang problema lang no’n kasi, may magreklamo sayo, may affidavit of complaint siya, sasagutin mo counter-affidavit. Ngayon dahil walang nagreklamo hindi ako nag-encounter. So in short, para bang nung nireresolba nila ‘tong issue na ‘to, hindi kami nakapagsalita," Aquino said.

"Ang tanong sabi nung iba dapat hindi ko na siya kinakausap. Eh ang sagot ko lang don, siya kasi number one matagal ko nang kakilala, siyempre pulis siya, alam niya ‘yung kultura, alam niya ‘yung personalities, alam niya ‘yung sistema, ‘yung umiiral sa mundo ng kapulisan… galing siya sa SAF (Special Action Force). Naintindihan niya istruktura, kakayahan, kakulangan, abilidad etc.," he added.

Ombudsman Morales ordered the filing of criminal charges against Aquino over the 44 Special Action Force troopers massacre in Mamasapano encounter two years ago. However, she downgraded the charges to a mere administrative complaint that is bailable and probationable.

The Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) were baffled to why she decreased the severity of the lawsuit. The VACC is the one representing the families of the slain SAF commandos, who were overkilled in Mamasapano after not receiving any offensive support from the government during the term of ex-PNoy.

"Ombudsman Morales 'wag mo kaming gagag*hin! Nagngingitngit ang mga pamilya. Tumatawag sa amin bakit hindi raw doon sa finile namin na reckless imprudence resulting to homicide," VACC founding chairman and president Dante Jimenez stressed.

"Whitewash ito. Leading to dismissal sa kasong 'to!" the VACC chief said.

"Ito po ay orchestrated design to eventually white wash and drop the case agaisnt former President Aquino. Ganun po ang nakikita ng aming mga abogado, ganun din po ang nakikita ng mga pamilya ng mga victims because 'yung kanyang kinakasong usurpation... sino pang mag-usurp ng powers diyan e presidente siya ng Pilipinas," the VACC chief added.

President Rodrigo also happy with how the charges came up. He said that the charges are very 'silly' and 'rotten'.

In his part, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre seconded, stating that Aquino might just bail out.

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales was appointed by the former President Aquino and was announced on July 25, 2011 during his SONA.
