Dela Rosa said that right after finishing the ride, he feels ecstatic, filled with energy but soon after he reaches the Camp Crame, everything instantly came tumbling down after learning that a Korean national was killed involving fellow police officers right inside Crame.
"Bakit?
Dela Rosa said that the Duterte administration is winning the war on drugs, and the fight will continue, it's either we live or die.
"Tuloy pa rin ang war on drugs, we will live and die on the war on drugs, this administration will live and die on war on drugs, wala nang atrasan," Dela Rosa said on Monday.
"Are you satisfied? Ako satisfied ako, we are winning the war, we are winning the war, we are winning the war, I am very satisfied," he added.
Now that people claim that they feel more safer in the streets than before, he feels satisfied of his first year.
"I can honestly tell you, 'di sa nagmamayabang, 'yung mga tao sa kalsada nagsabi talaga na safe na sila ngayon, public opinion ang tinantanong ko," Dela Rosa said.
During a face-to-face media interview with Chief Dela Rosa, he reprimanded one of the media representatives for quoting a anonymous source who is a police officer who allegedly said that the dictatorial of President Rodrigo Duterte was to blame for pressuring police officers and other government officials involve in the war on drugs.
"Maya maya wala pala yung taong nagsabi ng ganun tapos gawa gawa lang ninyo yan, ayusin natin dahil mahirap yung ganun,” he said when asked to comment on the report.
He refused to give a concrete answer to a speculative question which source couldn't be named by the media.
Parang fishing expedition, mahirap, ayokong sumagot. OK lang sa’yo. Huwag ka magtampo sa akin ha,” told the reporter who asked him to react.
Dela Rosa stated the authorities must obey the President's command. There's more than 700,000 drug users who undegone a process known as "surrendering". But they are expected to produce 1.8 million drug users who surrendered to match the DDB report's figures.
"That's the reason we are having a hard time. We need to produce," he said. "Even if we add up everything...we are not even close to 1.8 million."
"Ina-undermine nila ang effort ng Presidente. Sabihan natin ‘yung mga tao natin,” said the PNP chief.
