On Monday, Vice President Leni Robredo reacted in marking the centennial birth anniversary of Ferdinand Marcos Sr. as a holiday.

She said that it was "inappropriate to declare it as a holiday due to the abuses he committed during his leadership.

Robredo said.

She also added that the Marcos family should not inflict the holiday to public.

She even reiterated that Marcos kin must "come clean to the public" if they are sincere in want to return some of the alleged ill-gotten wealth.

Pera iyon ng taumbayan," she said.

It was on Thursday, Sept 7, when President Duterte agreed to released the Marcoses' request to declare the Sept 11 as a special non-working holiday for the Ilocanos.

It was under the Proclamation No. 310, signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.
