President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday at his closing ceremony of the 26th Mindanao Business Conference in Cagayan de Oro revealed that Senator Antonio Trillanes has joint accounts in different countries and slammed Senator Trillanes over his allegations of corruption against him and his family.
He reiterated his commitment to stop corruption and maintaining he will resign if any proof is presented by Trillanes and threatened to expose the senator's bank account deposits in different countries.
"I'm coming up with Trillanes' bank deposits all over. Ngayon, nakuha ko na, akala kasi niya hindi ko rin kaya eh. I am giving you, in a few days, the number of deposits that he has with his Chinese joint accounts. It's all over. Hong Kong, Australia, America," Duterte said.
On the other hand, Senator Trillanes on Sunday fires back and denied that he has several offshore bank accounts and deny the allegations. He even told reporters that President Rodrigo Duterte is lying and telling news that aren't true. The senator even challenges President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte that he is willing to sign waivers for such accounts and invite fact-finding team of the Ombudsman to prove what's in his accounts.

Trillanes said during an interview at radyo dzBB, "I Categorically deny the allegation. I don't own even a single offshore account. I am willing to sign waivers for such accounts. Nag-open ako ng personal account nung bago pa ako nakulong ... I couldn't even remember kung papaano mag-open ng bank account.
"Hindi totoo yan. Fake news yan. Sinungaling yan si Duterte. Hinahamon ko siya na ilabas niya yung detalye at agaran ako pipirma ng waiver para malaman ang katotohanan."
"Pipirma ako kaagad ng waiver para sa AMLC [Anti-Money Laundering Council] at para sa Ombudsman, at iimbitahan ko ang fact-finding team ng Obudsman at kung may media na sasama sa bangko na na-identify nila dyan ... at magwo-walk in kami at doon mismo makita kung ano talaga ang laman ng mga account na 'yan."
"I am willing to go that far para malinis ko ang pangalan ko at para ma-prove ko na sinungaling itong si Duterte at ginagamit niya ang kapangyarihan ng gobyerno para manira at mang-harass ng political opposition."

In 2016 during the campaign period, Trillanes accused Duterte of having billions of pesos in bank accounts and said that he is ready to face death opposing President Rodrigo Duterte and ready to be detained again citing his imprisonment for 7 years under the Arroyo administration.
"Sa akin naman, sige, gawin ninyo kung ano 'yung gusto ninyong gawin. Hindi ako matitinag diyan. Nakulong na ako dati ng 7 taon. Pero kung aabot tayo diyan, ipapatumba nila ako dahil sa paninindigan ko, kasama po 'yan sa mandato ko."

Trillanes a strong critic of Duterte and known for leading the 2003 Oakwood Mutiny.
