In a Facebook post last Thursday, Sharon Cuneta wife of Senator Francisco "Kiko" Pangilinan thanked the president in mentioning her name in his speeches.
The Mega Star was so delighted that the President was able to thank her during her speech inspite of her husband, Senator Pangilinan is at the Liberal Party.
"Thank you, Mr. President Duterte, Sir, for what you said on the news about me and my friend Mayor Inday Sara last night. May God bless you, Sir! (So "kilig!" Might be an inappropriate word, everyone --but hey - it's how I feel!)," she said.
"Everyone let's aim for peace here. Doesn't matter. We know they (Duterte and Pangilinan) are on opposing sides. But I appreciate the President's respect for him, and me, and my friendship with Inday Sara which started long before anyone knew Pres. Duterte was going to run for his present position," she said.

During the speech of President Rodrigo Duterte in the anniversary of the Department of Justice, Duterte recalled her daughter Davao City Mayor Sara "Inday" Duterte's birthday wish.
He recalled when he asked Senator Pangilinan the current leader of the opposition of the Liberal Party to make her daughter's wish come true to meet the Mega Star Sharon Cuneta.
“Pangilinan is my friend at may utang na loob ako sa kanya. Si Inday (Sara), when she was [in] Grade 6, Grade 5, sabi ko: ‘Anak, anong gusto mong birthday gift?’ Sabi niya ‘gusto ko magkasama kami ni Sharon Cuneta,’” Duterte said.
Furthermore, there was no complete story when and how Mayor Sara Duterte and Sharon Cuneta grant the mayor's wish.
The Mega Star even mentioned that before President Duterte became president, she and her husband are good friends with the family.
