The President's latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey results which satifactory rating drops 18 points definitely made Duterte critics smile.
However, less Filipinos are satisfied with President Rodrigo Duterte's execution aside from those in Mindanao,a survey from a private pollster showed.
According to SWS Director for Communications and Information Technology Leo Laroza, " "For this time period, it's a normal phenomenon for all past presidents to have a fluctuating net satisfaction rating and even trust rating."
Laroza echoed Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella's statement that the 'honeymoon' phase is not yet over, as "the love is still there".
The Social Weather Stations (SWS), however, clarified that no one is exempt from the downward trend in ratings.
TindigPilipinas, a coalition of the administration's critics, said the "huge decline" of Duterte's ratings is expected.
According to the survey conducted from September 23 to 27 of 2017, Duterte obtained a net satisfaction rating of +48 which is 18 points lower than his “very good” rating of +66 last June 2017.
The recent survey also revealed that 67% of the respondents were satisfied on the President’s performance, 14% were undecided, while 19% are dissatisfied. This rating is the lowest mark received by Duterte since he took over the Presidency.
Mr. Riyoh, a known pro-Duterte blogger debunked all these survey results and encouraged all Duterte supporters not to believe in this kind of surveys conducted by SWS.
In a video uploaded by Facebook page “Duterte Express”, blogger Mr. Riyoh even cursed the survey, “B*ll sh*t yang SWS survey na yan! Huwag po kayong maniniwla diyan.”
Watch his full statement below:
According to Mr. Riyoh, people should not be deceived by the result of this so-called survey as it is also being controlled by the oligarch who has been against Duterte and his policies since day one.
“Ang SWS survey ay nako-control po yan ng mga oligarkiya, kaya wag po kayong maniniwala diyan. Magkakasabwat yang mga yan. ‘Di ba sabi ni Trillanes bababa daw ang ratings ni President Duterte? Aba natural, sabi nila eh, ‘di ba?” he said.
Mr. Riyoh also questioned the survey’s credibility when it is done only on a very small number of Filipino populations, “At saka pano pa nila kino-conduct ang survey nila, ‘di ba? Isipin niyo yon, meron ng 100 million plus ang population ng Pilipinas pero ang sinu-survey lang nila 1,500? Hello! Nakaka-bobo lang ‘di ba?”
The third quarter SWS survey was conducted face-to-face interviews of 1,500 adults nationwide (600 in Balance Luzon and 300 each in Metro Manila, Visayas and Mindanao).
For the public satisfaction rating, the respondents were asked the question: “Please tell me how satisfied or dissatisfied you are with the performance of Rodrigo Duterte as president of the Philippines. Are you very satisfied, somewhat satisfied, undecided if satisfied or dissatisfied, somewhat dissatisfied, very dissatisfied, or you have not ever heard or read anything about Rodrigo Duterte?”
On the other hand, for the trust rating, respondents were asked: “Please indicate if your trust/faith in (Rody Duterte) is Very much, Somewhat much, Undecided if much or little, Somewhat little, Very little, or You have not heard or read anything about (Rody Duterte) ever?”
