Facebook netizen named Leo Rogelio has taken to Facebook to write an open letter addressed to his countrymen whom he called Pinoy r@c!$t.
In the open letter, Rogelio said that he is one of the thousands of OFW’s in China. A progressive country that Filipinos deride and look down thinking that they are much better than the Chinese because Filipinos think they better off than the Chinese.
Rogelio said Filipinos should stop this. The truth is, we Filipinos are nothing compared to the Chinese. They treat the OFWs well, unlike in the Middle East stories of abuse and maltreatment of Filipino workers in prevalent. In China, the Chinese regard the OFWs with respect. They treat the OFWs like family and they are willing to help even at the dead of the night. That is why, Rogelio said, he cannot stomach the hurtful words they say against the Chinese, people who have no experience living in China. You, who are ignorant are those who have the audacity to ridicule and judge the Chinese.

Isa ako sa mga libo-libong OFW na nag t-trabaho sa China. Isang maunland na bansa na inyong nilalait at hinahamak na akala nyo ay mas magaling kayo sa mga intsik. Na akala nyo mas nakaka-angat kayo sa nga intsik. Huwag po ganun. Dahil ang totoo wala tayong panama sa kanila. Maganda makitungo ang nga intsik sa aming mga OFW, hindi tulad sa Middle East na may mga kaso ng kaharasan. Dito sa China ay mataas ang respeto sa mga Pilipino. Rogelio, in an emphatic tone, before you brag, before you say that Filipinos are much better than the Chinese, you must see to it that our maids in the Philippines are earning 70,000-120,000 pesos a month because that’s how the Chinese, which you make fun of, pay our maids there. Not to mention the living quarters of the DH that looks like a princess’ room.
Bago kayo magmagaling, at bago nyo sabihin na mas nakaka-angat kayo sa mga intisk ay siguradohin nyo muna na sumasahod ang mga KASAMBAHAY nyo ng 70,000 – 120,000 pesos a month dahil ganun magpasahod ang mga intsik na hinahamak nyo sa nga DH nating kababayan doon. Isama mo na jan ang bedroom ng DH nating kababayan na mala pang prinsesa sa ganda.
Before you ridicule the Chinese, make sure that the teachers in the Philippines are getting 75,000-300,000 a month because that’s how their Chinese counterparts are getting paid. The engineers are making much more than that, Rogelio wrote.
Bago kayo mang-alipusta sa mga intsik, siguradohin nyo muna sumasahod ang mga guro nyo dito sa Pinas ng 75,000 – 300,000 pesos a month dahil ganun magpasahod ang mga itsik na nilalait ninyo sa ating mga kababayang teachers doon. Mas higit pa jan kumita ang nga engineers.
Before you brag, make sure you know how to eat porridge in the sidewalk while your Lamborghini or Ferrari is parked in the side street. Wealthy but simple.
Bago kayo magyabang, siguradohin nyo muna kaya nyong kumain ng lugaw sa tabi-tabi habang naka park ang Lamborghini o Ferrari mo sa tabi-tabi din. Opo, ganun sila ka walang arte sa katawan. Mayayaman pero mga simple!
Before you scoff at the Chinese, make sure our government is capable if boring a tunnel under the mountain to make sure that the road is straight and no need to uproot the trees because that is how efficient the environment-loving China that you poke fun of.
Bago kayo manghamak, siguradohin nyong kaya ng gobyerno natin na gumawa ng tunnel sa ilalim ng bundok upang tuwid ang paggawa ng daan at hindi na kailangan kalbohin ang kabundukan dahil ganun ka efficient ang China na nilalait nyo may concern sa kapaligiran!
Before you think you are intellect superior, make sure that engineering math is taught starting in high school like in China that you ridicule. From Primary, Middle school, Junior and Senior High, they have advance academic subjects, especially in Math and Science. How about you?
Bago kayo magmarunong, siguradohin nyong itinuturo ang engineering math sa highschool pa lang dahil yan ang turo sa China na hinahamak nyo! Mula primary, middle school, jr. at sr. high ay advance ang academic subjects nila lalo na ang math at science. Eh kayo?
Before you bully, see to it that your three-year-old son knows how to tie his shoelaces, wear his pants, shirt and eat alone. Because that’s the Chinese trained their kids that you looked down. At 4-years-old, ball dribbling is taught at kindergarten, at 5-6 years old, jumping rope and knows all basic life learning skills.
Bago kayo mam bully, siguradohin nyo na kaya ng mga anak ninyong 3 years old na magsuot ng sarili nyang sapatos, pantalon, damit at kumain ng sa sarili. Dahil ganyan ang trainjng ng nga batang Chinese na nilalait ninyo. At 4 , ball dribbling ang training sa kindergarten schools at shoe lacing, at 5-6 jumping rope at lahat ng basic life learning skills alam na nila!
Before you say “Yuck” there, see to it that you have a clean public toilets in every barangay or community because that’s how it is in China and washing hands after using the toilet ex urinating is routine. Do you do that? Do you have clean toilets in your barangays with steady water supply and tiled floors and walls?
Bago kayo mag yuck-yuck jan, siguradohin ninyong may mga malilinis na public toilets sa bawat baranggay o community sa inyong lugar dahil ganyan dito sa China at routine na sa kanila ang mag hugas ng kamay pagkatapos umihi! Ganun din ba kayo? May malinis na toilet ba sa baranggay ninyo na may water supply at naka tiles pa?
Before you look down on China, see to it that you construct buildings in a matter of days, renovate an empty building in two days and sanitize an entire city in one day. Can you do that? Mere relief goods are stolen.
Bago nyo i down ang China, siguradohin nyong kaya nyong gumawa ng building ng ilang araw lang, i renovate ang empty buildings in 2 days at i sanitize ang buong city in 1 day! Kaya nyo? Relief good nga lang ninanakaw pa!
You said a lot against China and the Chinese when they have do you do wrong. Stupidity and ignorance are what you are manifesting. Because of China, your lives have become convenient. 90% of your household appliances are made in China. You don’t know that because you know nothing or ignorant. You don’t even know that almost all the companies in the world have factories in China. Mad at China? If your phone is iPhone, smsung, Oppo, Lenovo, Huwaei, Mi, HTC, Vivo and Sony (Japan), throw it away because all of them are made in China.
An dami ninyong sinasabi sa China at mga Chinese na wala nman ginagawang masama ang mga ito sa inyo. Katangahan at kabobohan yang ipinapakita ninyo. Dahil sa China gumagaan ang pamumuhay ninyo! 90% ng mga gamit nyo at sa bahay ninyo ay gawa sa China. Hindi nyo lang alam yan dahil nga wala kayong alam. Hindi nyo alam na halos lahat ng company sa mundo ay may factory sa China! Galit ka sa China? Kung ang phone na gamit mo ay iphone, Samsung, oppo, lenovo, huawei, Mi, HTC, vivo at Sony ay itapon mo dahil made in China yan sigurado ako!
My advice, no one wants the n-COV. Saying bad things against the Chinese won’t help. Enough. At times like this, we need to help one another. We are Asians and we should work as one.
Payo ko lang, walang may gusto sa sakit na n-cov. Hindi nakakatulong ang mga paninira ninyo. Tama na. Sa panahon ngayon mas lalo natin kailangan ang isa’t-isa. WE ARE ASIAN AND WE SHOULD WORK AS ONE!
