Ramon Ang: Petron will provide continuous fuel supply throughout enhanced quarantine

There’s one particular supply that some people are worried might run out during this enhanced community quarantine: fuel.

While motorists won’t be able to drive out in the meantime anyway, fuel is still of utmost importance in times like these to transport essential goods like food and medical supplies. Besides, most of us will eventually need to gas up every now and then since we still use our cars and bikes to go do our groceries and buy other necessities.

Petron, for its part, is assuring the public of continuous supply of its petrol products across the entire county throughout the COVID-19 crisis.

“So far, our entire supply chain is working overtime to ensure that enough products are produced at our refinery. Vessels are continuously loaded so that our terminals are filled, and tank truck operations remain consistent,” said Petron president and CEO Ramon Ang. “We are also trying our best to keep as many of our stations open and filled as possible while putting the safety and well-being of our employees first.

“Let me reiterate that there is no need to panic. We will step up and we will get through this together. In these critical times, rest assured that basic necessities will be delivered and our brave front liners will reach their destinations.”

The company also said in its statement that it has taken into consideration all possible scenarios and has fully activated its Business Continuity Plan.

That’s some good news to start the week. If you want to stay updated with the current COVID-19 situation, you can read our previous stories here.
