DLSU Lady Spikers cautious of Adamson Lady Falcons prior to Shakey’s Finals

The De La Salle University Lady Spikers are being cautious of the Adamson University Lady Falcons as they approach the beginning of their Shakey’s Super League (SSL) National Invitationals finale on Wednesday afternoon at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Lady Spikers assistant coach Noel Orcullo stated that they need to be wary of the Lady Falcons, as they are a different team compared to the one they defeated in UAAP Season 85 earlier this year.

“Kailangan paghandaan at aralin namin ‘yung Adamson kasi marami rin nawala sa kanila tulad sa amin,” Orcullo said.

“Unfamiliar din sa amin kasi puro bago ‘yung players nila. Kailangan malaman namin ‘yung tendencies nila,” he added.

The Lady Spikers are without the services of Angel Canino and Justine Jazareno, and they are leaning on the trio of Alleiah Malaluan, Shevana Laput, and The Gagate.

Similarly, the Lady Falcons have lost several players who chose to turn professional, and they are depending on veterans Lucille Almonte, Lorene Toring, and Ayesha Juegos, as well as rookie Red Bascon.

“We’ll be prepared against La Salle. We must continue the process. We must endure it. Mahirap talaga. Si Lord na bahala sa resulta ng paghihirap namin,” said Lady Falcons mentor JP Yude.

The Lady Spikers-Lady Falcons championship showdown will be decided in a best-of-three series.
