Devin Booker responds to Kyle Kuzma’s call for a Team USA role player

Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker is willing to adjust his game to be a role player if he gets the chance to play for Team USA.

This was Booker’s answer to Kyle Kuzma’s social media post, when the Washington Wizards forward suggested that Team USA should look for NBA stars who can play a role on the national team.

“USA basketball better get some NBA stars that know how to play a role. Anybody can be nice with the ball in their hands, but can you be cool with defending and going to the corner for a few possessions?” Kuzma posted on Wednesday.

Booker responded to Kuzma’s post.

“I’ll do it,” the Phoenix guard said.

Team USA fell short of a podium finish in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. After the tourney, reports circulated that LeBron James was talking to his fellow NBA superstars about suiting up for Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In a report from Shams Charania, James has communicated with Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum, and Draymond Green. In addition, Booker, D’Aaron Fox, Damian Lillard, and Kyrie Irving have expressed interest in playing for Team USA next year. (MJD)
