The Serbia men’s basketball team members are set to receive a five-figure reward for their second-place finish in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
According to Sportal.rs, the Serbian government has granted each member of the national basketball team 25,000 euros “for their outstanding performance in the FIBA World Cup.”
Serbia secured the runner-up position in the 2023 FIBA World Cup, following an 83-77 defeat to Germany in the championship game held last Sunday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Furthermore, the Serbian government plans to provide financial rewards to the 3×3 Serbian national team players for their gold medal victory in the European Championship in Jerusalem, Israel.
Marko Brankovic, Nemanja Barac, Stefan Kojic, Strahinja Stojacic, and their coach, Marko Zdero, will each receive a reward of 20,000 euros for their achievement.
